Legal and General Counsel Manager

The Legal and General Counsel Manager is responsible for overseeing the company’s legal and regulatory matters. This role involves providing strategic legal advice, managing corporate governance, mitigating legal risks, and ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. The manager will support mergers and acquisitions (M&A), litigation, and external counsel relationships to ensure the company’s legal position is strong and well-protected.

Qualifications & Skills:

–         Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) or advanced legal qualifications preferred.
–         A Minimum 15 years of experience in corporate law, governance, and regulatory compliance including at least 3 years in a similar leadership position.
–         Demonstrates proficiency in reviewing, analyzing and drafting a wide range of contracts with clear enforceable contract language.
–         Expertise in mergers and acquisitions (M&A), litigation, and corporate governance.
–         Strong understanding of legal risks and the ability to formulate mitigation strategies.
–         Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
–         Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
–         Ability to provide strategic legal advice and solutions to senior management.
–         Knowledge of corporate governance and legal compliance.
–         Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
