United States Air Force Central Command (USAFCENT) is the Air Force Service Component of United States Central Command (USCENTCOM), a joint Department of Defense combatant command responsible for U.S. security interests in 27 nations that stretch from the Horn of Africa through the Persian Gulf region, into Central Asia. This position supports USAFCENT Force Protection (FP).
The AOR Force Protection (FP) contract support position will be stationed in Qatar and will travel to Afghanistan, United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Jordan, Oman, Saudi Arabia and other locations in USAFCENT’s AOR. This position provides technical expertise in the installation, repairs, troubleshooting, inspection, and periodic and preventive maintenance for security systems in the AOR. These systems currently include: under vehicle inspection systems, access control, intrusion detection, badging systems, Closed Circuit Television (CCTV), explosive and narcotics detectors, and all metal detectors.
In this role, you will:
Provide guidance during site visits to units on Equipment Tracking Management database.
Provide advice in performing diagnostics on systems listed in paragraph 4.34.1.2 and make repairs/replace faulty equipment.
Assist in providing training to system operators for under vehicle inspection systems, access control, intrusion detection, badging systems, Closed Circuit Television (CCTV), explosive and narcotics detectors, and all metal detectors.
Analyze and document requests for assistance and repair processes.
Plan, ship, receive, store, and refurbish force protection equipment for USAFCENT. Assist in the management of warehouse and support on-going re-alignment of forces in the AOR.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will have:
High School Diploma/GED
Active DOD Secret clearance
Four (4) years’ experience as a Unit Deployment Manager or Security Forces Logistics and Supply Equipment Custodian training mandatory.
Experience with the Standard Base Supply System and Traffic Management Office procedures required.
Extensive knowledge in concepts and principles of Air Base Ground Defense required.
Must have ability to obtain an US Passport and meet visa requirements for 10% travel to USCENTCOM AOR countries.
