An experienced Pastry Assistant.
Mandatory Requirements:
Based in Qatar.
Work full time for 6 days a week.
Proficient in English language skills in both written and verbal.
Has Sponsorship Transfer and can join immediately.
Responsibilities:
Assist and support the chef with skilled food preparation and cooking when and as required.
Hold experience in decorating pastries and desserts, cakes, pies, cookies, etc.
Collaborate with the team to ensure proper storage of materials and supplies and keep the workplace tidy, clean, and always sanitized.
Preparing ingredients for the bakes & sweets.
Packing and dispatching orders as needed.
Storing ingredients and food items according to food safety standards.
Experience:
Minimum 3 years experience as Pastry Assistant, baker, or relevant role.
Behavioral Skills:
Creative Person.
In-depth knowledge of sanitation principles, food preparation, baking techniques, and nutrition.
Great attention to detail.
Good knowledge of pastry arts and ingredient themes.
Confident culinary techniques and skills.
Good planning skills.
Diligent and meticulous in making and receiving orders.
Strong organizational, and time management skills.
Punctual and disciplined to ensure optimal work performance.
Technical Skills:
Formal culinary training (strongly preferred but may be substituted for experience).
Industry knowledge– Professional experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment. familiarity with common baking ingredients, measuring techniques, mixing methods, kitchen equipment, and baking times.
Excellent multitasking and self-motivation.
Organization skills – a neat, arranged work area promotes efficiency and safety
Teamwork – collaborating with others involved in creating, serving, and selling products to keep operations running smoothly.
Physical requirements – Able to work in a standing position for extended periods of time and should be able to bend, lift, and perform arm and hand movements.
As with most jobs in the hospitality industry, the candidate must be available to work weekends and some evenings when required
Education:
Diploma or higher-level degree. (Culinary degree preferred)
